About Demelza
Demelza is a charity organisation that provides end-of-life care and support to children, young people and their families in the UK. Demelza operates across two hospice sites, one in Kent and one in South East London, as well as a community hospice at home service in East Sussex. The hospices provide inpatient care, respite care, and day care services, all designed to provide comfort and support to children and young people with life-limiting conditions, as well as providing excellent support services to their families.
In addition to the care provided at the hospices, Demelza also offers a range of outstanding community-based services, including a hospice at home service, which provides support for children and young people who wish to be cared for at home. The organisation also offers a bereavement support service, which provides support to families who have lost a child. Demelza works closely with healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses and therapists, to ensure that the children and young people in their care receive the best possible care and support. Demelza also provide a range of activities and therapies, such as music therapy, art therapy, and play therapy, to help children and young people to express themselves and have fun.
