About Weston Hospicecare
Weston Hospicecare has been providing expert care for people with life-limiting illnesses in Weston-Super-Mare and North Somerset for over 30 years, completely free of charge. The hospice offers a range of services, including inpatient care, day hospice, and community services, all aimed at helping patients and their families through the most challenging times in their lives. Inpatient care provides round-the-clock nursing care and medical support, while day hospice offers a range of therapies, activities, and support groups for patients and their families. Their community services also provide support in the patient’s own home, enabling them to remain in their familiar surroundings for as long as possible.
The hospice works closely with other healthcare providers, including GP’s, nurses, and hospital staff, to ensure that patients receive the most appropriate care, at the right time and place. Weston Hospicecare also offers a range of complementary therapies, including massage, reflexology, and music therapy, aimed at reducing stress and improving patients’ overall quality of life. The hospice also provides a range of bereavement support services, including individual and group counselling, support groups, and a helpline, to help families through the grieving process.
